An incredible video filmed by Alaskan wildlife enthusiast Drew Hammond has captured a stunning close encounter with a brown bear.
The bear saunters up next to Drew and sits for a while to enjoy the lazy afternoon with him. The bear looks so warm and cuddly as it watches the river, and the birds, and enjoys the scent of fresh human carried on the gentle breeze. But all that relaxing really makes a bear work up an appetite so he is soon up and wandering for his next meal.
Apparently, if a bear approaches you in the wild the best defense is to pretend to be Canadian and say “eh?” repeatedly.
In the last seconds of the video, take a close look at just how many other bears are in the river.
